Why you are reading this
We require all affiliates to comply with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines who promote our products or services to clearly and conspicuously disclose the fact that they receive compensation for doing so. Failure to do so may result in removal from our affiliate program and the cancellation of commissions. Visit the FTC's Endorsement Guides: What People Are Asking page for more information, and our Affiliate Agreement for more information.
We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of others. This page sets out exactly how this site is funded, what that means for what you read here, and how to tell a paid placement from an editorial recommendation.
How Corey.gl is funded
- Affiliate commissions. When you follow a link from this site to a hosting provider and subsequently purchase a plan, the provider may pay us a referral fee. This is typically a one-off amount or a share of the first term's fee.
- Display and banner advertising. The slots marked “Advertisement” on this site are paid placements. They are labelled on every page, and their presence is never conditional on editorial coverage.
- Sponsored placements. Where a provider pays for prominence, the placement is labelled as sponsored and the link carries a
rel="sponsored"attribute.
We do not sell your personal information, and advertisers do not receive your details unless you explicitly ask us to make an introduction.
How to identify paid links
Every commercial link on this site carries at least one of these signals:
| Signal | Where you see it | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Notice at the top of every page | Directly under the navigation bar | This site earns commissions from some providers featured |
| Disclosure box | Above the first paragraph of every article | That article contains affiliate links |
| “Advertisement” | Above every banner slot | A paid advertising placement |
| “Sponsored link” | Beneath buttons and offer panels | We may be paid if you click through and buy |
rel="sponsored nofollow" |
In the page's HTML | Machine-readable disclosure for search engines |
How compensation affects what we publish
It affects which providers we can link to, because we can only earn from companies that run affiliate programmes. It does not affect what we say about them. In practice:
- Ratings, comparison tables and recommendations are decided before any commercial discussion, and are not shared with providers for approval.
- We publish the downsides of products we earn from, including where a cheaper or free option would serve a reader better.
- Advertisers cannot buy a review, change a rating, or have criticism removed.
- Where we have no affiliate relationship with the best option for a given use case, we still say so.
- Pricing shown on this site is indicative and may be out of date. Always confirm the current price, and the renewal price, on the provider's own website.
Independence and accuracy
Guidance on this site is general information, not professional advice. Hosting products change frequently: specifications, prices and included features may differ by the time you read a page. We correct errors when they are reported — tell us if you find one.
Nothing here is legal, financial or compliance advice. If you are hosting regulated records, confirm your obligations with a qualified adviser or your regulator before relying on anything you read on this or any other website.
